The Burke Theatre isn’t a one-mission venue. For more than three decades, it has hosted military ceremonies, commemorations, corporate meetings, presentations, special events and Hollywood premieres—creating significant demands on its visual system. The venue needed a modern display capable of delivering cinema-quality performance while supporting a wide range of content and events.
Image quality was especially important for a landmark dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of American Sailors. The new technology needed to present historical imagery, presentations, video, ceremonies and cinematic content with exceptional detail and color accuracy. The mission was clear: elevate the visual experience without sacrificing the versatility that makes the Burke Theatre such an important gathering place.

Total LED answered the call with a 2.5mm fine-pitch direct-view LED display designed for premium cinema applications. DCI cinema-grade technology reproduces the DCI-P3 color space, delivering the rich color, detail and visual precision expected in a cinematic environment. Paired with a Dolby IMS3000 Integrated Media Server, the system provides a powerful content and playback platform for the theatre’s diverse programming.
With 2.5mm pixel pitch, the display delivers detailed imagery for the 222-seat theatre while maintaining the brightness, uniformity and color performance associated with direct-view LED. More importantly, the flexible system can support everything from military ceremonies and historical presentations to corporate events and Hollywood premieres—giving the Burke Theatre a versatile visual platform ready for whatever comes next.
